Pretium Services is a Compliance Practice approved by the Financial Services Board. We opened our doors with the advent of FAIS in 2003 and have been advising and assisting financial services providers to achieve compliance with the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 2002 as well as the Financial Intelligence Centre Act, 2001 ever since.
Through our consulting work we ensure that FSPs achieve and maintain compliance as well as obtain the full benefit from the good practice and fairness principles that these laws entrench. Over the years we have developed excellent working relationships with the Financial Services Board and various industry bodies but most importantly the FSPs that we advise and provide services to.
This is greatly assisted by the fact that the Compliance Officers and the majority of staff have backgrounds in the insurance industry, allowing us to truly understand the particular business that the majority of our FSPs undertaken.
What do we do?
We at Pretium Services offer solutions to the insurance industry, starting with basic compliance advice to full compliance monitoring role as FAIS accredited Compliance Officers. We cater for Category I and Category IV Financial Services Providers.

We start by taking the necessary steps to ensure that every Financial Services Provider we partner with is FAIS compliant. We render in house services as a Compliance Office for all compliance related matters.
Pretium Services also offer a service to ensure that businesses reach the point where they can apply for their FAIS license and potentially handle their own Compliance Officer duties. Pretium Services have offices based in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban as well as making regular visits to Bloemfontein, Kimberley and East London.
The Pretium Services Compliance Officers are active members of the Compliance Institute of South Africa playing significant roles in its forum on FAIS issues. We are now looking for opportunities in the Eastern Cape as well.
